Thistles is a modern house built in the 1980’s on the site of an old blackhouse. It was fully refurbished in 2015 to create two luxurious bedroom suites and a wonderful open plan living/dining/kitchen. Each bedroom has a king-size bed, ample storage and hanging space for your stay, a flat screen Smart TV with Freesat, french doors and juliet balcony to frame the beautiful elevated view over the Sound of Sleat to the Knoydart peninsula. One ensuite has a walk in shower and a separate double ended bath whilst the second has a double ended bath with a rain head shower over. Downstairs to the lower level, the open plan kitchen / living / dining area features a fully equipped Ashley Ann kitchen with granite worktops, AGA and wood burning stove with large sliding doors and picture window taking in views of the garden and across the Sound of Sleat. There is also a flat screen Smart TV with Freesat and DVD player in the living room area. There is a utility room equipped with two washing machines and a tumble dryer in a separate building adjacent to the house. We have a selection of DVD’s, board games, maps, walking books and information about visitor attractions around the Isle of Skye which you are free to enjoy during your stay.

Thistles on Skye Information
Description
Luxurious houses with high end kitchens Situated on a traditional croft in Sleat, South Skye, we are ideally situated for the Skye Bridge or for the Armadale to Mallaig ferry. We offer a great base from which to explore the magical island of Skye. We have tried to make these the best self catering experiences on the island by incorporating everything that we would like to have when we stay somewhere. Our en-suites are beautifully finished with double ended baths and rain showers and you can then relax in our dressing gowns and complimentary slippers. Both houses have amazing sea views. Thistles has two beautifully designed en-suite bedrooms with panoramic views over the Sound of Sleat to Loch Hourn and the Knoydart peninsula whilst The Croft has a luxury ensuite bedroom and separate dressing room, plus a second bijou bathroom with uninterrupted views over the sea. Both houses have aga wood burning stoves for cosy winter nights. Thistles has a wonderful aga which heats the entire downstairs whilst The croft has tradition limestone flags with underfloor heating downstairs.
