The Alpine Lodge Information


The Alpine Lodge is the premier lodging facilities in the beautiful Gore Mountain region of the Adirondack in Northern New York. The Alpine Lodge, decorated in an Adirondack motif, is located in the charming small town of North Creek in the midst of the beautiful and scenic Adirondack Mountains. Convenient down-town location; walk to restaurants, grocery, and shopping- perfect for après-ski! Just a 5 minute drive to Gore Mountain. The lodge has 14 guest rooms and 4 kitchen suites. Each guest room in the Lodge features a television with dvd player, CD player, WiFi, specially designed furnishings, private bathroom with stall shower and radiant heat. Some rooms boast a gas woodstove and/or Jacuzzis. A number of rooms have a back porch for some added space that overlooks the backyard area. There is a year round outdoor fireplace in the back yard under the gazebo for evening fires. We serve a continental breakfast. There is a ski-tuning room. The Lobby area has a large screen tv and a fireplace. In the morning we serve a simple Continental Breakfast with breakfast sandwich. The Alpine Lodge is located within a short drive of numerous year-round activities.Make us your base camp as we are centrally located to all the Adirondacks have to offer; hiking, mountain biking, downhill and cross-country skiing, road bicycling, whitewater rafting, snowmobiling, and scenic drives. We are minutes from the lifts at Gore Mountain. Scenic day trips to Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake, Lake Placid, Lake George and Bolton Landing are highly recommended.

  • Road from Albany and points South (75.0 miles)

    From Albany and Points South (4 hours from NYC) Take the NY Thruway to exit 24 in Albany and take exit 1N (after the toll) to I-87 North (the Adirondack "Northway"). Drive approx. 1 1/2 hours; take Exit 23 (Warrensburg). Take Rt 9 North through Warrensburg to Rt 28 West. Take Rt 28 West to North Creek, after passing Basil and Wick's, North Creek Mini- Mart, and Stewart's, look for a right hand fork onto Main St. at Cunningham's Ski Barn. Take Main St into the middle of town to The Alpine Lodge.

  • Road from Montreal and Points North (180.0 miles)

    From Montreal and Points North (2 1/2 Hours) Take I87 (The Northway) to Exit 26. Take a left off the ramp to lead you to Rt 9, take a right onto Rt 9 south. Drive to the center of Pottersville, take a right to drive into Olmstedville. In Olmstedville follow signs to North Creek via Rt 28N. This takes you to the center of North Creek. Take a right at the light onto Main St. The Alpine will be on your right.

  • Road from Buffalo and points west (325.0 miles)

    From Buffalo and Points West (5 hours). Drive east on New York State Thruway to Exit 33 (Rome/Rte 365). Turn RIGHT onto Rte 365 and follow until you reach Rte 8. Turn LEFT onto Rte 8. Take Rt 28 West to North Creek, after passing Basil and Wick's, North Creek Mini- Mart, and Stewart's, look for a right hand fork at Cunningham's Ski Barn. Take Main St into the middle of town to The Alpine.

  • Road from Gore Mountain (5.0 miles)

    From Gore Mountain (5 minutes). Take the access road down to Peaceful Valley Rd. Take a right onto Peaceful Valley Road to Rt 28. Take a left onto Rt 28 for 100 yards; take a right onto Rt 28N. At the light, take a left onto Main St. The Alpine is on your right in the center of town.
