The Annexe Information
Description
The Annexe is a beautifully converted outbuilding having had a variety of uses over the last century, now doubled in size to create this wonderful cosy cottage. It's ideally situated in the centre of the Lincolnshire town of Crowland, an historic town set on the banks of the River Welland and home to the ancient Trinity Bridge and Crowland Abbey. The town boasts a range of shops and eateries, including a bakery, tea shop, restaurants, takeaways and a choice of pubs offering a warm welcome. Visitors and residents enjoy long walks, rides and even kayaking along the banks and river Welland, and area which attracts bird watchers and cyclists as it sits on the National Cycle Network, making Crowland a popular stop-off for cyclists to enjoy the old town surroundings.
Darren and Sarah run this lovely little cottage alongside the renowned Riverside Apartments in nearby Stamford. The Annexe was formerly a derelict old outbuilding tucked behind what is now the town's popular bakery with two apartments above and behind. in 2019, Darren and Sarah's Father bought the building which had been sat empty for a number of years, last used as a local wine bar. Darren and Terry over a number of months tastefully converted the old wine bar into what is now Trinity Bakery and two lovely apartments. To the rear was this old outbuilding last used many years ago as a butcher's prep room. The building was extended doubling in size to join the main building and the space was creatively designed to create what is now this lovely cosy one-bedroom cottage, with 12ft vaulted ceilings and a surprising amount of space for guests to relax in.
