The Farmhouse Inn Information

Description

The Farmhouse Inn provides a relaxing atmosphere for weddings, retreats, and romantic getaways, as well as a peaceful place to stay when traveling or attending local events. The Inn is part of Hundred Acre Farm, a working farm following organic principles. There are a variety of animals on the property ranging from farm animals such as chickens, peacocks, horses, goats, a miniature donkey, and two sweet Great Pyrenees dogs, to more exotic wildlife like beavers, black squirrels, and foxes. With forests, meadows, creeks and a river, we are a prime bird-watching location where you're likely to see hawks, great blue herons, and many others. Sourcing locally grown food, following land conservation practices, using solar energy and energy conservation policies, and having a recycling program are ways the owners and staff of Hundred Acre Farm and The Farmhouse Inn strive to protect the land and the beauty it provides. Our wedding package allows you and your guests convenient lodging and facilities for the perfect farm wedding. We are a short driving distance from the University of Georgia and from several of the best golf courses in the state, making us the perfect place to stay while attending UGA events and even the Masters Tournament. The entire town of Madison is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is only ten minutes from the Inn. Visit beautiful, historic architecture, go antiques and flea market shopping, and eat at a variety of restaurants, or just enjoy a stroll around the square during your visit with us.

  • Road from Atlanta, GA (66.0 miles)

To get here from Atlanta, take I-20 East to Exit #114 and go left (north) onto Hwy. 441/129, following the business route to downtown Madison’s historic square. Continue through the square, pass the Ford dealership, and go to the Madison Bypass intersection. At this light, go straight ahead on Hwy. 278 East (Hwy 441 turns left at this light but you should go straight) towards Greensboro for 5½ miles to our Hundred Acre Farm entrance sign on the left. Turn left onto our gravel drive just before our large solar panel (visible in daytime). The gravel drive is Meadow Lane but does not have a road sign. Follow the signs to the reception.

From Augusta, take I-20 west to exit 114, turn right (north) onto Hwy. 441, then follow the directions above. From Athens, take Hwy. 441 south to Hwy. 278 and turn left (east) towards Greensboro.
