The Inn At Brough Information

Description

This beautiful newly renovated 18th Century Coaching Inn is located in the historic market and old Westmorland county assize town of Brough in Cumbria in the Eden Valley. It is close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and within easy reach of the Lakes. The Inn used to serve as a stopover for coaches running between Scotland and Carlisle to York and the South. The Inn has been the subject of a total restoration it to its former glory. The luxurious bedrooms and suites and sumptuous en-suite bathrooms compliment our AA Rosette winning food. Guests are assured of the warmest of welcomes. All our rooms have luxury ensuite bathrooms with Villeroy and Boch fittings and supplied with “Bath House” toiletries, bathrobes, a minibar, as well as tea and coffee making facilities, access to free Enet and Wi-Fi and parking. The Bar offers an excellent selection of premium beers, lagers and ciders and traditional cask conditioned ales with a collection of fine single malt whiskys. The Georgian Restaurant provides a relaxing environment for those of our guests who prefer a quieter atmosphere and the main restaurant is a lovely example of plain Georgian elegance. Our two menus include traditional Inn dishes as well as a full seasonal à la carte menu and caters for even the most discerning diner. Our wine list is small but comprehensive and are reasonably priced. The house wines are a excellent.

The Bar offers an excellent selection of premium beers, lagers and ciders and traditional cask conditioned ales with a collection of fine single malt whiskys. Accessibility

We can accommodate guests with mobility disability in our newly refurbished bungalow room and suite. They are decorated and equipped to the same high standard as the main hotel rooms and have ensuite luxury with Villeroy and Boch wet rooms. The the bungalow room has a double bedroom and ensuite wet room and the suite has two bedrooms with double beds and an adjoining wet room.

Directions

  • Road from Scotch Corner A1 (29.0 miles)

    West on the A66, for 28.5 miles from Scotch Corner on the A1. At the bottom of the slip road onto the A685, turn right. After 1/4 mile you reach a T Junction at the memorial clock. Turn right and we are almost directly opposite on the left.

  • Road from Penrith M6 J40 (21.0 miles)

    East on the A66, for 26 miles from Penrith J40 on the M6. Take the exit signposted Brough or the slip road onto the A685, turn left. After 1/4 mile you reach a T Junction at the memorial clock. Turn right and we are almost directly opposite on the left.

  • Road from Tebay M6 Junction 38 (16.0 miles)

    Follow the signs for A685, Brough for 12 miles, pass through Kirkby Stephen, continue on the A685 for 4 miles until you reach the T junction at the Memorial clock, turn right, we are directly opposite on the left.
