Nearby championship golfing, water sports and fishing, great restaurants and shopping galore are located within minutes of the Inn.The Inn on the Ocean has been often been described as "an oasis in the chaos" by our guests. Enjoy the sumptuous breakfasts each morning in the dining room or the Veranda with spectacular ocean waves, the expansive clean beach, and Boardwalk for great people watching. We are happy to accommodate specific dietary needs. In the afternoon return to the Inn and enjoy homemade chocolate chip cookies or fresh iced tea with a fresh sprig of mint. The Inn is a center-gable Craftsman style cottage. In 1983, Harriett Harding from Brimsfield, Massachusetts purchased oceanfront blocks 8,9,10 and 11 of Ocean City . She knew a good thing when she saw it but she actually never visited Ocean City. It wasn't until 1930 that the cottage was built on cypress piling, shingle shakes, and elevated 12" above sea level. The house has weathered numerous hurricanes, Nor'easters and innumerable sunny days and it is still standing proud! "May all you enter as guests, leave as friends". Please enjoy you stay! "
