The New Inn Information
Description
Originally a 16th-Century coaching inn, The New Inn in the Herefordshire Marches celebrates the rich farming heritage of this rural county. The menu is robust with well-known local flavours punctuated with seasonal inspiration procured from nearby producers. Inside the pub's interior exudes a warm welcome with rich deep heritage colours and textures that create a stylish but relaxed ambience. Many of the Inn's original features remain, open fireplaces and well-worn beams give a timelessness that is restful and reassuring to its welcomed visitors. Our intimate dining experience brings together the best of Herefordshire hospitality and gastronomy. Relax in the bar and enjoy a pint of local cider, indulge in our chef-designed cocktails or choose from our extensive gin list. Into the restaurant, you will discover a beautiful menu filled with modern British dishes and an extensive list of carefully curated wines, designed by Michael.
Acclaimed chef Michael Fowler is delighted to bring to you his flavours of Herefordshire at this historic venue. This new partnership between Michael and local business owners Mark and Julie Green unites perfectly the modern and the traditional aspects of pub culture. Inside this beautifully restored 16th Century building you can enjoy a pint of local beer and a packet of Mark’s award winning ‘Two Farmers Crisps’ as well as Michael’s modern British menu, and an eclectic selection of stunning wines available by the glass. Both Mark and Michael are passionate about local produce and flavours and Michael has a range of menus, from pub classics to the four-course tasting menu available with wine pairings. Michael’s culinary journey began working in luxury hotels and highly acclaimed restaurants in the UK and beyond with Michelin-starred chefs, most recently in a partnership with Chris Oakley, one of the first British Chefs to be awarded Michelin-stars at his restaurant. Over the last few years Michael has run award winning venues locally.
