The Running Horses is the epitome of a country inn, nestled in the heart of picturesque Mickleham village in the Surrey hills. Dating back to the 16th century, it was once a coaching house on the main Brighton to London route. Once inside you’ll find a world class menu of dishes created by our exceptional chef and his brigade, using where possible the best of what our surroundings have to offer, as well as some fantastic local suppliers, made with the freshest ingredients, accompanied by a curated wine list offering the traditional and the alternative. You’re guaranteed a warm welcome from the moment you enter the cosy bar with its roaring log fire. There is a private function room available for small parties and seven beautifully, comfortable en suite rooms on offer and a cottage if you wish to stay the night.
Our warm inn offers the warmth of the countryside with the amenities of a city centre location, with the extra touches to ensure you don't miss your home comforts. Our team are encouraged to be themselves and give a personal service that will have you joining us again and again.
