Thorpe Green House Vegetarian Bed and Breakfast Information
Description
Thorpe Green House is situated in Fylingthorpe, an easy ten minute walk to Robin Hood's Bay. We have two superb double en-suite rooms overlooking the countryside. Room 1 has a Super-King size bed and Room 2 has a King size bed. We serve vegetarian and vegan breakfasts (completely meat-free). The location is ideal for those who like to walk the many and varied footpaths. The Cleveland Way and Wainwright's Coast to Coast long distance footpaths are nearby by and we are just minutes from the Cinder Track (Old Railway Line) where you can cycle to Whitby or Scarborough. Cycle Hire is available at Hawsker, between Fylingthorpe and Whitby. Arriva provide a good bus Service between Whitby and Scarborough. Directions: GPS Latitude 54 43 0729 Longitude -0551 558. Grid Ref 941 048 I'm sorry that we cannot accommodate dogs but please note that we have a dog of our own, a Lurcher by the name of Flynn. Our local pub, The Fylingdales Inn, is just a 4 min walk from the house and serves good food but there is a good choice of eateries in Robin Hood's Bay, within 10 to 15 min walk. A local Taxi will transport you up the hill if you don't feel like walking back! Parking is on the road side immediately outside the house. There are no parking restrictions in this area of the village.
Thorpe Green House is a lovely old house with a walled garden planted with wildlife friendly plants/shrubs/trees. Guests are welcome to wander around the garden and to sit and relax on the sunny terrace. Although we do not accept pets we love dogs and have one of our own, Flynn, who is very friendly and loves to say 'hello'. Having been vegetarian for 30 years we have made the decision to go completely meat-free with breakfasts as from 2021. We also cater for vegans and if you have any other dietary requirements just let me know a few days before arrival.
