The Milking Sheds, Dufftown Information
Description
Two stone cottages set in the heart of Dufftown, Speyside. An ideal town location perfect for romantic getaways and friendly adventures alike. A luxurious-nights sleep awaits with a sumptuous bed to sink into. 1 Wee-Kalf has the option for either a Super king or 2 x Single beds and 2 Wee-Kalf has a King size bed. There are 2 enclosed garden areas with a patio area, outdoor furniture and BBQ, a lovely place to unwind with a refreshing drink after the day’s adventures. Why not use this shared area in line with restrictions, as an open outdoor space to socialize (when deemed appropriate) with another household you want to holiday with, yet maintaining single household accommodation each with your own home. We love the luxury beds with freshly laundered linen and fluffy white towels, the convenience of the off road parking and the dog friendly enclosed garden area as well as the Smart TV, free reliable WiFi throughout cottage and patio area. The well-equipped kitchen complete with washing machine is convenient as well as the local shops, pubs and restaurants.
James and Louise are the people behind Speyside Cottages James moved to Dufftown, attracted by the fresh air, open landscape and tremendous dog walks he and Dave (Sprocker, man’s best friend!) could enjoy. Louise joined James to live, adventure & work together, the potential to work in and share this spectacular environment with others was a huge draw. It’s a relatively short journey from the city but it feels like a different world as you drive in, wonderful scenery & wild remoteness. James & Louise love to travel finding memorable accommodation and experiencing new environments. Sharing these elements of their region with guests was key reason for establishing Speyside Cottages with its first project 1 & 2 Wee-Kalf, Milking Sheds. The Milking Sheds were originally derelict barns, from the ground up they were re-built using much of the original stone & repurposed to build the new porches. The end result is two cosy wee cottages to hideaway from it all or use as a base for relaxed walks, whisky and castle train exploration or more adventurous hiking, fishing and cycling plans. We hope to host for you soon Safe Travels and Happy Adventures! James & Louise
