The Westbank is a lovely Elegant Victorian Guest House in Torquay, Family run with a warm friendly atmosphere. We are situated in a quiet tree lined avenue with a peaceful outlook. The Westbank is close to the town and Riviera Centre. Just a few minutes stroll through Torre Abbey Gardens will bring you to the Seafront and Beaches.

Booking Terms and Conditions


We have parking for 5 cars with all parking bays marked out. The surface is tarmacked but it is on an incline. There are no steps until you reach the front entrance where there is one step. We assist our guests with their luggage. The shops are a 5 minute walk away. The front porch has 1 step, 9cm high, and the porch door has a step, 14cm high. If the front door is locked, there is a bell situated by the porch door which can be reached from any height. The front door is 99cm wide. The porch door is 90cm wide. Our porch way into our home is 5ft x 5ft. The hallway is fitted with short pile carpet throughout. On the ground floor off the hallway is our dining room and reception area. The areas are very well lit and have a high quality décor. There are 14 stairs to the half landing. There are then 6 stairs to the first floor and 4 bedrooms. The stairs are 7cm high, 10cm deep and 3ft wide.


  • Road from M5 Exeter (22.0 miles)
    From the M5 take the A380 to Torquay. When approaching Torquay look for Halfords and get into the right hand lane which is signposted ‘Seafront’. Take this road, pass the Esso garage, straight over the at the traffic lights, then take the next left into ‘Bampfylde Road’. Westbank is 100 yards on your right. A warm welcome awaits you!
  • Train from Torquay Railway Station (0.5 miles)
    Turn Left out of train station and head up Falkland Rd. At cross roads traffic lights turn left onto Avenue road. Take 2nd right onto Bampfylde Road. The Westbank hotel is on the right.
