"The perfect pastoral idyll…Westley Farm’s 70 acres are sublimely beautiful and home to five cottages and a central farmhouse … Donkeys and sheep graze the fields, doves coo from the surrounding woodland, deer and foxes are frequently seen" Westley Farm Cottages offer a cosy retreat, a chance to truly get away from it all in the midst of some of the best that nature can offer. Our cottages – converted stables and barns – have one, two or three bedrooms, flagstone floors, Cotswold stone, wood burning stoves or open fires – all the traditional things – as well as a few mod cons, in case you want to reconnect with the outside world, from 4G to free wifi. With no noise other than the call of the wild, settle into your home from home and relax in front of a welcoming log fire. Step out of the door and you are in the middle of the countryside, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Walk through the woods, follow one of the paths or wander across the wildflower meadows. It’s really up to you. For the adventurous a canal runs along the edge of the farm, leading to the nearby town of Stroud, home to a bustling farmer’s market. A 10 minute walk across the fields takes you to the nearest pub, a quintessential open-beamed Cotswolds inn where you can sit outside and watch the sun go down over the hills. Close by is the historic open common of Minchinhampton, where cows graze across the golf links. Further afield is the Roman market town of Cirencester. A two-hour drive from London – 90 minutes by train – we are 20 minutes from the M5, and under an hour hour from the jewels of the Cotswolds as well as Bristol and Bath. Whatever you choose to do – perhaps you just want to snuggle up inside – the beauty of Westley Farm and this corner of the Costwolds will leave you speechless. Westley Farm is a working farm and the cottages are converted stables. Consequently there are steps and uneven footpaths which may be challenging for some guests. We will do our best to accommodate any needs but please check with us in advance of booking.
