Wooladon Estate Information

Description

With extensive living space, there is plenty of room for everyone to share and unwind, whilst enjoying the quiet location of the Wooladon Estate. Wooladon House has seven beautiful bedrooms with most benefitting from en-suite bathrooms. The large garden with its own pond is ideal for an early morning coffee, or to enjoy alfresco dining on a warm summer’s evening, and there is even a private hot tub. The luxury barns each have ensuite facilities, outside space leads to a garden area with BBQ. The estate is located just outside the village of Lifton with its award-winning Strawberry Fields Farm Shop and Restaurant (same owners as Wooladon Estate) which is open every day. With freshly made bread, pasties, pies, butchery, freshly picked vegetables, a deli counter full of local cheeses it really is a perfect place to find local fresh ingredients and truly homemade meals. They will even arrange for meals to be delivered to your door! The owners live nearby in the village. Nearby Launceston has a wider range of shops and amenities and is also home to an ancient ruined castle. Wooladon is an ideal base for visiting both the coastal resorts and the moorland areas. The north Cornish coast with its dramatic Atlantic rollers and big wide sandy beaches is perfect for surfers, or coasteering, kayaking for the more adventurous! The South coast is more sheltered with sandy beaches, sailing and pretty seaside towns to wander around. If you prefer to stay inland, Dartmoor is less than half an hours drive with miles and miles of rugged moorland to wander, tors to climb, pretty little villages to visit or follow the streams and Drakes Leat which leads to Plymouth. Film locations for The War Horse, Poldark and Doc Martin are close by and well worth a visit. Visit Tintagel with its Arthurian Legend. Plymouth Hoe with the famous Mayflower Steps.
