Welcome to the Look Out our beautiful handmade & offgrid camping cabin. First things first - this is for those guests who are used to camping and all that it entails, but with the opportunity to explore an offgrid stay with quite a bit more comfort than camping normally provides. It needs to be emphasised that booking this space is really for the relatively fit and active. There is one car parking space available half way up our driveway, but after that it is not only a walk uphill to the main building, but a further steep walk uphill to the Look Out. You will need to carry everything that you need. It is definitely worth it, the views are amazing! You are away and up above, but within easy reach of the Sanctuary. There will also be some filling and emptying of water containers involved, and you may like to charge the solar battery from the panel on sunny days. We do ask guests to make sure that they have properly washed up the crockery etc, as we reserve the right to make an extra charge if this is not done.

When our spacious function room is not being used for courses or events it has been designed to convert to a large 9m x 6m open plan suite for self catering. It has its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom and a large terrace overlooking the estuary. A locked door connects it to the rest of the building. Additional guests can book the room(s) next door if necessary. It has a comfortable kingsize bed with reading lights attached. Bed linen is organic, fair trade, with blankets by Weaver Green, made from recycled bottles. There are plenty of saucepans and crockery in the kitchen. The large bathroom / wet room has a walk in shower, bamboo & cotton towels, handmade shampoo and soap bars by the Clovelly Handmade Soap Company. The kitchen area has a large oak table and chairs, with sink, gas cooker and small fridge. In addition to the sofa there are also two comfy armchairs. There is a USB charging point for mobiles etc. We also have fitted a wood burning stove, which is only available in the colder months, but all wood is provided. There is also a fire pit and communal barbeque area, with our own produced charcoal. This suite has also been also been designed to accommodate most guests in a wheelchair or with mobility needs. The triple glazed, sliding door is slightly larger with a flat threshold, and the bathroom is large with a wheel in/walk in shower and lowered hand basin and shelf. Extra bathing help such as a shower stool, raised toilet seat and suction grab handles can be supplied on request. However, please note that the kitchen has not been adapted in any way.

This bright, sunny yellow room has been designed to reflect the buttery tones of the Birch leaves in the autumn. It enjoys fantastic views of the river from the bed, and a triple glazed sliding glass door leads to a table and chairs on the terrace. A planter box divider creates a little privacy. The kingsize bed can convert to a twin - and a smaller trundle bed can also be accommodated. There are cast iron wall hooks and hangers to hang clothes as well. Oak and Birch can be booked together to make a private to bedroom suite with a lockable door in the corridor.

The oranges & purples of autumn Maples feature in the colour scheme, along with a blanket and rug by Weaver Green, created from recycled plastic bottles. As the other rooms, it enjoys wonderful views over the edge of the village and the river Fowey from the large, triple glazed sliding doors, and it’s own seating space on the terrace. There is a kingsize bed, which can convert to a twin on request. There is storage space on one side of the bed, with a smaller pull out bed underneath. There are also cast iron hooks and hangers for clothing. This room is also dog friendly - please arrange with us prior to booking, to make sure we are suitable for you and your best friend! There is charge of £12.50 per night per dog guest

A light and bright room in the blue green tones of the Ash tree, The River Fowey takes centre stage through the triple glazed sliding doors. These open onto the terrace with a private seating area. the King size bed can be converted into a twin. It has storage in the base, and a smaller, pull out bed underneath. There are also cast iron hooks and hangers for clothing as well. This room is also dog friendly - please arrange with us prior to booking to make sure we are suitable for you and your best friend! There is a charge of £20 per dog per stay.

This is the largest of the four bedrooms. The colours reflect the abundant oaks of the estuary, carpeted with bluebells in the spring. It has plenty of space for a couple or up to 3 friends as there is a single day bed / sofa in the room. It has tall glazed windows either side of the bed and one in the side wall, which floods the room with evening sun. The zip & link bed can be a Kingsize or twin. There are storage drawers in the base, and there are wall hooks with hangers for clothes. The daybed / sofa can convert to a full size single bed if required. The room lights are also accessed from the bedhead as well as the room entrance. Oak and Birch bedrooms can be booked together, as there is another lockable door in the corridor that can be closed off in order to make a private suite of two bedrooms. The bedroom has also been designed to accommodate guests in a wheelchair or those with mobility needs.
