Description
Family run by Darragh and Michelle, we take pride in our reputation for friendly, personal service and traditional Cornish hospitality, whilst offering good value for money. We have parking available for eleven cars. The Donnington can accommodate up to 28 guests in 14 rooms across two elegant Victorian houses, and offers lovely views over the Cathedral and surrounding countryside. All rooms have en-suite facilities or private bathroom. They also have tea and coffee making facilities and a flat screen TV with Free-view and DVD player. Most rooms have fridges and iron, ironing board, hairdryer and microwave can be provided on request. All rooms are non-smoking.The Donnington is a 15 minute walk to the City Centre and close to the train, bus station. It is also ideally located for the Royal Cornwall and Duchy hospitals, County Hall, Records office and Truro College. We are unable to provide a breakfast during this period when we are experiencing restrictions because of the Covid-19 pandemic. As we are a family run guesthouse, we are not staffed 24 hours a day in the same way as a hotel and so we appreciate the approximate time of your arrival. We regret that we will not be available for any check in after 10pm unless a prior arrangement has been made by telephone. There will be no cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled before 14:00 (local time) 48 hours before your date of arrival. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, the first night will be charged.

Turn right • Continue to roundabout and follow signs to Redruth • At next roundabout, follow signs to Redruth • You will go up a steep hill to a double roundabout, keep following signs to Redruth • 500yds after the double roundabout, Truro football club is on your left. We are almost directly opposite

Train from Railway station (1.0 miles)If you are arriving by train, a taxi will be less than £3. Otherwise walk to the top of the hill after turning right coming out the station. Turn left by Sainsburys. Walk along the road, across Chapel Hill and we are about the 15th house along. There is a short cut. After turning right out of the station you will see a turning on the left called Avondale Road. Walk though the gate at the top, then up the hill. At the top turn left, across Chapel Hill and we are about the 15th house along.
