Barmouth Beach Club Information

Barmouth Beach Club is a newly built property, specially designed for accessibility situated at the end of North Promenade. We want to provide holidays for people who may otherwise have difficulty in finding somewhere suitable for a much-needed getaway. In keeping with the up to date design of the building, Barmouth Beach Club is modern and comfortably styled. All of our rooms are decorated to the highest standards and come with modern fixtures and fittings. We offer 6 en-suite bedrooms plus a self-contained two-bedroom bungalow which is let on a self-catering basis. We have a level car park which is free for our guests and visitors to use. We have extra wide doorways and level flooring throughout making all of our public areas’ wheelchair accessible. All of our restrooms and bathrooms are to the Welsh Habinteg standard. There is a stair lift for guests that may need it. Baby changing facilities available. We also have an induction loop, warden call system and visual contrast throughout the building. Enjoy a full Welsh breakfast sourced from local ingredients before taking on the challenges of the day. If you have a dietary requirement, please let our friendly team know at the time of booking and we will endeavour to cater to your requirements. A selection of hot and cold drinks and snacks are available. If you have any specific requirements, our team are on hand to discuss and make necessary arrangements to help your trip go smoothly. We have manual wheelchairs, shower chairs/beds, profiling beds and other items on hand. We can arrange for a mobile hoist, mobility scooter and other items if required. Do you require any help whilst on your holiday? We may be able to arrange for appropriate care for you. Please talk confidentially to our team who will do whatever possible to accommodate your needs. We cannot accept pets at the property. Assistance dogs are welcome, but please make us aware at booking stage to enable us to make any necessary arrangements.

Barmouth Beach Club started out life as a Girl Guides Clubhouse known as Ceilwart Bungalow. Tony Olley ran a small construction company that originally acquired the site in 2011. The initial idea was to refurbish the existing building to make holiday accommodation accessible to all. The original plan was much more modest than the development we have today, with dormitory style accommodation. Once work began on the refurbishment, it was decided that the building was not safe. Demolition of the clubhouse was the best course of action, and it was back to the drawing board. With the project now at the design stage, it was possible to create a purpose built space for the visitors that we want to enjoy time with us. Barmouth Beach Club’s mission statement is to provide holidays for people living regardless of ability at heavily discounted prices or in a lot of cases free to the end user. We will not only provide holidays whilst our guests are here. Our support team will get to know them to find out about their problems, establish what their hopes and dreams are. Through our network, we aim to help them to resolve issues and achieve their goals.
