We are truly a family run business headed by the owner Rory Queen. Our team is loyal, caring and here to help in everyway they can. Rory set up the business in 2015 and time was taken to bring this great late 16th century Inn into line of customers expectations and needs. Dealing with the more discerning customer we really are a huge active part of the local community. You will find no Heirs and Graces just great Yorkshire banter. Rory is very proud to have been lucky enough to feature in Channel 4's "Four in a Bed" series. Filmed in September 2017 and being aired in February 2018. This created a real following and huge interest was taken by many. Hard work but well worth the hours put in. Quite an achievement! Malton is known as the "Newmarket of the North" with it's many racing stables close by you will find many of the local racing fraternity socialising in Chapter Two Bar. So if Horse Racing is a favourite you may well pick up one or two tips? Our bar backs onto the livestock market which is held every Tuesday and Friday. Featured in the original All Creatures Great and Small film you can get a taste of what Malton was like in years gone by.
