Lost Bayou Guesthouse Information
Description
Our home was built in 1890 and survived the Great Storm of 1900. It is centrally located and is close to everything a visitor would want to see or do; Galveston's City Center, Sea Wall Boulevard on the Gulf is short 5 blocks and there is a nice Sandy Beach, Pleasure Pier, Historic Strand District, Cruise Terminals, Bryan Museum, Bishop’s Palace, Moody Gardens, many Local Dining establishments, and other attractions – too numerous to list. Our back patio / garden is a lovely place to relax and unwind after a day of fun in the sun. You can also sit on the front balcony and enjoy the evening air, or the 3rd floor deck that sits at the treetops. We have 5 guest bedrooms on the 2nd & 3rd Floors and also can accommodate large families or group gatherings of up to 12 guests. We offer a full breakfast served family style each morning in our dining room. We offer snacks, freshly baked cookies and hot and cold drinks that are available for our guests in the hospitality room during their stay. We also have 2 bicycles - beach cruisers - that are available for use. We greatly appreciate your consideration and hope to have the opportunity to meet and visit with you during your visit to Galveston Island.

Directions: From Houston, take I-45 south to Galveston, at first stop light in Galveston I-45 becomes Broadway. Stay on Broadway until 17th, turn right go 2 blocks & turn left on Avenue L. Go to 1607 on the right side of the street. Or if you are coming from Bolivar Peninsula, take Ferry Road, turn right on Broadway until 17th, turn left and go 2 blocks & turn left again on Avenue L. Go to 1607 on the right side of the street.
