We have completely refurbished all of our bedrooms which have modern en –suite facilities. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the front bedrooms have open views over the games park to the Cairngorm Mountains. Please note we no longer accept pets.

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU BOOK A ROOM ONLY OPTION BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED. Recently refurbished to a high standard the property offers a warm and friendly welcome, comfortable accommodation set in peaceful and tranquil surroundings, 5-10 minutes’ walk from the center of the village and is the ideal base for outdoor activities all year round. As of APRIL 2020, our restaurant & Bar will be relocated to the center of the village in to our new offering “The Cairn – Grill Restaurant & Bar” leaving the Property at the Moorfield for Accommodation ONLY. This enables us to offer guests staying with us peaceful & quiet accommodation with no noise from any public bar or road traffic noise that affects other places in the village. It also gives us the opportunity to seat a much larger number of guests in our new restaurant with longer opening hours and over double the seating capacity. Why not discover why we have a growing reputation for the quality and exceptional value of our freshly cooked and locally sourced menu. Our new Sung bar located in the same location offers fantastic quality Scottish Ale’s, Whisky’s & Gins as well as an excellent wine list. There is ample parking in our private car park for cars, Mini Buses and motor cycles, and we have ample drying facilities for wet clothing and storage for bikes. Free WI-Fi is also Available. We have completely refurbished all of our bedrooms which have modern en –suite facilities. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the front bedrooms have open views over the games park to the Cairngorm Mountains. We are no longer pet friendly and can not accommodate any dogs.

Directions

  • Road from All Directions (10.0 miles)
    Getting to the Moorfield House (in Braemar Village ) is fairly straightforward. Whether approaching from the North, South or West, simply head for the centre of the village and the showground. Just to the right of the showground you will see Chapel Brae. Drive up the brae for about 400 metres and you will see the sign for the Moorfield House Hotel. Turn left and follow the tree-lined driveway until you reach the guest house. There is plenty of room for parking, right at the front door.
