Description
Glan Heulog Bed and Breakfast Historic quality bed and breakfast in a historic Conwy Town setting Glan Heulog Bed and Breakfast is located in the historic World Heritage town of Conwy, North Wales. The bed and breakfast looks onto Conwy Castle and is an easy walk into Conwy Town. Conwy has an excellent bus and train service throughout the area. Glan Heulog Bed and Breakfast is the home of Jenny & Chris and Becky Jones. They will ensure that your receive a very warm welcome. With their local knowledge they are happy to assist you with your plans to explore all that Conwy Town, Snowdonia, and North Wales has to offer the visitor. We have off road parking in our private car park. As you may have seen on many of our reviews, access to the car park is via a fairly steep drive by the side of the house. Many people feel a little nervous on the drive, although it is probably not that steep compared with some of the roads in North Wales. Some cars which have low bodywork may scrape the road at the bottom of the drive. My advice, should you be daunted, is to approach from the left hand side and put the car in first gear and proceed calmly and steadily up and leave the clutch alone. You are welcome to use the garden to relax and enjoy the views across to Snowdonia. Glan Heulog Guest House has six bedrooms, All are en-suite except number 4 which has exclusive use of a bathroom across the landing.The rooms are equipped with hair dryer, television, clock/radio and hospitality tray and are tastefully decorated for your comfort. All parts of the property are strictly non smoking A substantial breakfast of fruit juice & cereal with a choice of of Full Welsh cooked breakfast or yoghurts & fresh fruit. Breakfast is served in a bright stylish dining room with views of the garden and Conwy Town walls. Special diets can be catered for. Unfortunately Glan Heulog is not suitable accommodation for wheelchairs users.

Glan Heulog has 3 rooms on the first floor, accessed by a flight of stairs, and 3 rooms on the second floor accessed by a further, steeper, flight of stairs. The property is situated at the top of a long steeply sloping garden, but access from the car park is mostly flat. Unfortunately Glan Heulog is not suitable for wheel chair users.

Train from Conwy Rail Station (0.2 miles)Trains from Chester direction ( traveling West ). Exit train, turn left and walk to end of platform, bear left through archway in Town Walls. Proceed down lane to car park, walk across car park on to Llanrwst Road (B5106). Turn right. Glan Heulog is about 300 metfres on left. Trains from Holyhead (traveling East ). Leave Station, turn right on to Rose Hill Street, bear right through archway following signs for car park. Cross car park onto Llanrwst road, turn right and walk about 300 metres.

Road from A55 (1.5 miles)Leave the A55 at junction 18 and leave the roundabout by the exit signposted Conwy. At the next roundabout (Tesco) go straight on, then turn left at the next roundabout. Cross the bridge and turn left at the castle (B5106). Proceed through the narrow archway, bear right and Glan Heulog is about 400 metres on the left. Our car park is at the back of the house, accessed via the steep drive to the left of the house. GPS coordinates 53.276830 -3.832317

Road from Betws-y-Coed (15.0 miles)Take the B5106 out of Betws-y-Coed and follow the road to Conwy. As you come into Conwy down the hill, follow the road to the right by the local shop. Glan Heulog is about 300 to 400 metres on the right hand side (still on the B5106). Turn into the drive to the left of the house and parking can be found just behind the house. Train from LLandudno Junction (1.3 miles)Turn left out of the station. Follow the road to the right by the Asda supermarket and walk to the large roundabout, Go straight on to the causeway and then bridge into Conwy. Turn left by the castle (be careful here, it is very narrow), follow the road to the right by the bowling green and keep going for about 400 metres. Glan Heulog is on the left
