Greensleeves Information
Description
Greensleeves is a twenty minute walk from the historical Roman Corinium (Cirencester), which boasts a wide range of shops and attractions for all the family. Cirencester was the second largest town in Britain during Roman times. Today the former Corinium Dobunnorum is home to more than 18,000 people and a service centre for the thousands more who live in surrounding villages. In later years it was a very prosperous medieval wool town. Cirencester's market square is dominated by the cathedral-like St. John Baptist church (one of the largest in England). The large south porch with it's impressive fan vaulting was built about 1490. Cirencester Park is probably the finest example of geometric landscaping in the country, examples include Corinium Museum of the Roman past, Church of St. John Baptist. Located between Regency Cheltenham Spa and the Roman town of Cirencester. The village of Stratton is ideally situated to enjoy the historic and splendid attractions these historic towns have to offer. Arguably one of the finest Bed and Breakfasts in Cirencester, the Heart of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds. Please note we only accept two night bookings at weekends, but please phone us should you only require one night as we may be able to help.
