Description

Oak House No.1 is a luxurious Georgian townhouse set in Tetbury’s finest square. Right in the heart of this charming market town, you are just a stroll away from a choice of designer boutiques and foodie emporiums and with its diverse selection of antique shops, Tetbury has long been regarded as the antiques capital of the Cotswolds. Our royal neighbour, Prince Charles lives nearby at Highgrove and the Highgrove shop in Long Street is fast becoming a pilgrimage for visitors to Tetbury. Oak House No.1 is exclusive and discrete, you will receive the warm welcome and friendly service that you would expect from a privately owned residence. Afternoon tea is included in the room rate . Recently re-designed, the jewel-like interiors are a visual feast, featuring a stunning art collection together with precious trinkets collected from world travels. All this set against an irreverent mix of traditional and contemporary styling where the finest quality antiques and classic furniture meet throughout. The sparkling bathrooms feature the best in designer fittings whilst the beds have the finest 'Frette" linen. In the dining room, elegant bone china, silver cutlery and crystal glasses adorn the bespoke-made dining table. The owner Gary Kennedy BA (Hons) studied fine art at Saint Martins School of Art and is a celebrated interior designer and art collector (featured on TV and in many magazines in the UK and overseas).
