Penryn Guest House Information

Description

Penryn B&B is situated within easy walking distance of Anne Hathaway's Cottage, and about 7 minutes away from the Stratford-upon-Avon railway station. We are also situated within 15 minutes walk from the centre of Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon. For our guests travelling by road a private car park is available at the front and at the back of the guest house. Our postcode is CV37 9DP. The industrial estates Timothy Bridge Rd and Mason Rd are only 5 minutes walking distance from us. We can accomodate early breakfast for our business guests. Stratford-upon-Avon has much to offer our visitors. As well as the beautifully maintained Shakespearean properties, there are theatres, museums, leisure facilities and a wealth of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Warwick Castle is 15 minutes away in the car. The postcode for the castle is CV34 4QU. The beautiful Cotswolds villages are easy accessible by car or by operating tours. We can help you plan your day. please ask. We can accommodate up to 23 people in our range of tastefully decorated 10 en-suite rooms. These include - an easily accessible ground floor twin bedded room, a large double room and 2 family rooms with a king size and single bed (sleeping three). FREE WiFi internet access and FREE parking are available free of charge to our guests. NO SMOKING: Penryn Guest House is a NO Smoking establishment. However, there is an external area at the back of the house where smoking is possible. Stratford upon Avon is a very easy town to walk around with several pedestrianised and interesting shopping precincts. We will be pleased to supply you with a street map on arrival. As well as a vast array of restaurants there are plenty of delightful coffee/teashops offering a delicious range of snacks and drinks. The Bancroft Gardens adjacent to the River Avon is a beautiful picnic spot, weather permitting

Accessibility Statement Access to the first and second floors is by a staircase (thirteen stairs to the first floor and fourteen stairs from the first to the second floor) fitted with a handrail.We have 4 ground floor rooms - 1 twin, 1 double and 2 family rooms which can be used as twin or doubles. All our rooms are en-suite. At the front of the property is a tarmac car park with a very slight slope to the front door. From the porch to the hallway is a door cill, approximately one and a half inches high. Penryn can accommodate wheelchairs as far as the ground floor hall and dining room, access to the ground floor rooms is only possible as far as the doorway. All bedrooms are fitted with en-suite shower rooms containing w.c basin and shower cubicles. The shower cubicles all have a step of about 4 inches from the floor into the cubicle.

Directions

  • Road from Train station (0.6 miles)
    The train station is only 10 minutes walk away and there are always plenty of taxis available outside. As you go out of the train station, turn right onto Alcester Rd towards the bridge and then carry on straight; we are on the right hand side at no 126.NOTE: there are building works at the train station, follow the stairs on the right onto Alcester Rd towards the bridge.
  • Road from M40 exit 15 (10.0 miles)
    Stratford upon Avon is situated in the Heart of England and is easily accessed from the motorway M40 only 10 minutes drive on A46. To avoiud town centre traffic, follow A46 towards Ann Hathaway's cottage, turn left onto Alcester Rd, carry on straight and we are at no 126.
  • Coach from Coach station (1.0 miles)
    From coach station Bridgeway guests can either walk straight through the town centre onto Alcester Rd, the walking time is aprox 20-30 minutes or book a taxi which will take 5 minutes and costs around £5.00.
  • Air from Birmingham Airport (28.0 miles)
    From Birmingham Airport, take the M42 South, then M40. Exit M40 at J15 and take A46 towards Stratford upon Avon At the 4th roundabout on A46 take the first exit towards Ann Hathaway's cottage and carry on straight on Alcester Rd. We are on the left hand side at the top of the hill.
