The Pilot Boat Inn Information


Simply the best location in Bembridge! Close to beach and harbour, a few minutes walk from all the village amenities. We have five en suite bedrooms. A great place to stay when visiting Bembridge or wanting to explore the rest of the Island. Bembridge has fabulous dog friendly beaches, a busy active harbour, a great community and wonderful shops. The marina is easily reached across the harbour using the 'water taxi (VHF Ch 80 or 07852 806017 ). The pub is located on the main road into Bembridge (the largest village in England) and has ample parking. The pub has five ensuite bedrooms with comfortable beds,TVs, wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, luggage racks, complimentary toiletries and good quality linen. Bembridge is the most eastern point on the Isle of Wight and is popular with sailors, cyclists, walkers or just families wanting a beach holiday. It is a great place from which to explore the Island. The Island has many attractions for all ages to enjoy and a wonderful variety of scenery to explore from ancient woodland, downland, marshes, fantastic unspoilt beaches and coast line. The Island is also popular for many recreational sports including sailing, water activities, fishing, flying, golf, walking and cycling.

Pub is accessible for all users. Wheelchair users can access the pub via the ramp to the rear of the building. Unfortunately we do not have toilets for wheelchair users but there is a recently refurbished public toilet which is accessible across the road. The bedrooms are on the first floor and are accessed via a staircase so may not suit all. All our staff are trained to assist to help guests with disabilities or special needs when required.

    From Ryde, head East past Seaview, through St Helens and then down to Bembridge Harbour and we are located at the far end of the harbour just before you head up the road into Bembridge village. We look like a boat!

    Follow road to Ryde, then head East to St Helens and then Bembridge Harbour
  • Boat from Ryde Hovercraft Terminal / Pier (6.0 miles)
    Head East. Follow road to St Helens then Bembridge Harbour.
  • Train from Portsmouth Station (9.0 miles)
    Follow signs to Catamaran (FastCat) then cross Solent to Ryde Pier.
  • Road from Cowes (12.0 miles)
    Head to Ryde, then St Helens, then Bembridge Harbour
