Rutland Guest House Information


Rutland guest house was built in the late Victorian times and still maintains many of its original features including the grand staircase. Whether your stay is business or pleasure you can be assured of an enjoyable relaxed time. Rutland enjoys a prime position on the seafront at St Leonards on sea opposite marina gardens on the A259 coastal road and in an ideal location for the Hastings Half Marathon in March. There is ample, free on-street parking on the road outside. The historic town of Hastings is a short drive away or a leisurely thirty minute stroll along the promenade to the old town. There are good bus and rail links close by for you to explore 1066 country!

    From London M25 onto A21 to Hastings, follow A21 to seafront turn right, heading west along the coastal road towards St Leonards on Sea, passing Azurs restaurant on the left, we are opposite Marina gardens. Journey time 1 hr 50 mins approx. From Dover, take A20 to Folkestone, onto A259 coastal road to Hastings and St Leonards on sea. Journey time 1 hr 15 mins approx.
  • Coach from National Express (60.0 miles)
    National Express from Victoria coach station to Warrior Square St Leonards on Sea, we are a short walk approxinately 20 minutes along the seafront heading west.
  • Train from West St Leonards Railway Station (0.2 miles)
    Head southeast on St Vincents road towards West Hill road, turn right at West Hill road,turn left at A259 / Bexhill road, turn left into Grosvenor Crescent we are just along from the Bo Peep pub.
  • Train from Warrior Square, St Leonards on Sea (1.0 miles)
    Head west on St John's road towards Western road, turn left at Kings road, turn left at A2102 / London road, turn right at A259 Grand Parade heading along the seafront to Grosvenor Crescent we are directly opposite Marina gardens.
  • Coach from National Express Coach (60.0 miles)
    London Victoria coach station to Warrior Square coach stop. we are a short walk approxinately 20 minutes heading west along the seafront.
