This beautifully restored historic home has hardwood floors and original tiger oak wood trim throughout the home. The patio outside has the original Nelsonville block when there was a parking lot for the old high school where the house resides. This classic home is a perfect retreat nestled in Nelsonville, Ohio. Take a 30 minute drive from your vacation home to visit Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle’s Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won’t be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers! The Franklin is located in Nelsonville and 5 miles from Wayne National Forest. The State Park offers thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. 15 miles from the cabin, guests will run into Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends.
