The Baskerville Information

Description

The rooms and en suites of This AA 4 Star Silver Inn have recently undergone full refurbishment, completed in February 2019 with many new furnishings added in 2020. They boast beautifully appointed, en-suite, old English styled rooms, featuring luxury pocket sprung king size beds, The Baskerville is the perfect place to wine, dine and stay the night whether for business or pleasure. The fine dining restaurant was awarded a once in a lifetime Visit England Rose 2018 award in recognition of outstanding customer service. Also winning "Oxfordshires Restaurant of the Year 2016" with an AA Rosette and voted Silver in "Best Tourism Pub of the Year 2017". Head chef Faye Morris shares the owners’ passion for creative and seasonally changing menus. Fresh, ethically and locally sourced produce lie at the heart of its modern but classically based dishes which offer a memorable dining experience. The Baskerville garden renovation was completed in March 2022 and offers al-fresco dining throughout the summer months with plenty of beautiful, well appointed seating. The bar with its cosy log fires has an impressive wine list with over 70 bins, offers 4 local cask ales and 50 malt whiskies from around the world. The small town of Henley-on-Thames, located only 2 miles away, is home to the Henley Royal Regatta and the Henley Festival. Enjoy a boat trip up the Thames or visit the River and Rowing Museum. Try a night at the Kenton theatre, the fourth oldest in England. Within the village why not stroll along to Shiplake lock and watch the river cruisers pass through.

The team and I are delighted to welcome you into The Baskerville. Over the recent turbulent times, we have rolled up our sleeves and made some fantastic changes and additions to the space, to include the bar and dining areas, our cottage garden, the private dining room and the outdoor grill kitchen. We are here to look after you whilst you relax, unwind and enjoy the surroundings, as well as some superb cuisine with some of the produce coming from our kitchen garden, delivered by our family of friendly and knowledgeable staff. "We have tried to make it a bit of the heart of the community - it's a place you can come and have a really good pint of local beer, or you can have a fillet steak and a bottle of fine wine".
