The Turtley Corn Mill Information

Description

Turtley Corn Mill has had a varied history, originally built as a Mill, then converted into a famous chicken hatchery, finally becoming a pub in the 1970's. The setting of Turtley is idyllic; located in the beautiful and varied area of Avonwick, South Hams the original Mill is set in six acres of grounds bordered by the River Glazebrook, we even have our own small lake complete with an island, perfect for sunny days and idle wandering. Perhaps surprisingly for such a picturesque location, Turtley Corn Mill is conveniently located just 2 minutes from the A38 making it easily accessible from all directions. Turtley has been completely renovated by the current owners, followed shortly after by the addition of the bedrooms. The interiors are light and fresh, with a noticeable absence of fruit machines, music, or pool tables, all thoughtfully replaced with newspapers to read, books to browse, great food and beers and interesting wines. We have six double en-suite rooms here at Turtley, all with a shower and two with a bath, and all are designed and fitted out to the standard now expected by those who travel regularly. Each room is equipped with king-sized beds, duck feather and down duvets, Egyptian cotton linen, Sky free view, flat screen TV’s, free internet connection and powerful, spacious showers and other thoughtful additions for your comfort and relaxation. Two of our rooms are located together along a small corridor, and each of these have 'zip-and-link' beds providing the flexibility of either a king-sized bed or two single beds. This makes them particularly suitable for guests travelling with children, or equally for couples travelling together. Turtley is an entirely non-smoking site, both inside and outside.
