The Wiveton Bell Information

Description

The Wiveton Bell situated on the Village Green and close to the unspoilt salt marshes of the North Norfolk coastal landscape which is a listed site of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just two minutes drive or ten minutes walk from Blakeney. With 2 AA Rosettes and a Michelin Bib Gourmand the Bell has a fabulous reputation for great food at affordable prices. Table reservations are reccomeneded. There's a lively, cheerful atmosphere at the Bell, an 18th-century pub on the village green a mile from Blakeney and North Norfolk's salt marshes, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Expect a chic interior, with heritage-coloured walls, stripped beams, chunky tables and oak-planked floors. Paintings by local artists line the walls of the cosy bar and conservatory dining room, where four local Norfolk ales, Aspall's cider and a carefully selected wine list hold sway. In winter, the inglenook and roaring fire is perfect to sit and mingle with the locals and walkers (wellies are welcome). Home comforts include Flat screen TV’s, blue ray DVD and media library, blue tooth speakers, Wi Fi and Lifestyle and Local Interest Magazines. A hamper breakfast which includes fresh warm croissants from Blakeney Deli arrives at 8.45 along with a newspaper of your choice. Venture out at your leisure we service your room at any time to suit you before lunch. On arrival complimentary Prosecco will indulge your sense of relaxation and further treats are in store by way of our multi award winning Gastro Pub. Cley-next-the-sea, two miles away, is a mecca for birdwatchers and walkers alike. Here you will find ‘Made in Cley’ and ‘Pink Foot’ two exceptional galleries, also Picnic Fayre Deli and Cley Smokehouse. The beaches particularly at Holkham and Wells are world renowned for their magnificent beauty and cleanliness.

Accessibility

Unfortunately our second floor rooms are not suitable for persons with walking disabilities. Our ground floor rooms are easy to access but there is a step up to the bathrooms. Calls for advise are most welcome.

Directions

  • Road from Holt (3.0 miles)
    Take the main A148 from Holt towards Fakenham after two miles at Leatheringsett take the turn to the right for Glandford. From Glandford stay on the road for a mile the Bell is on the right hand side.
